Position is a "snapshot" of position and parameters of a camera. Each camera can contain unlimited number of positions.
Positions can be displayed simultaneously in the Graphics window and the 3D World window.
Images from positions can be displayed simultaneously in the 3D Video window, on the Monitors, included in the PDF report.

Modeling multisensor cameras based on the positions
To create multisensor camera model you need just set the number of sensors in the Position of active camera window on the Multisensor tab. VideoCAD will create a multisensor camera based on the active parent camera.

Camera groups - a versatile tool for extensive projects
Within the same layout, cameras can be combined in groups.
New buttons  Camera groups and  Activate the next camera in the group are added to the toolbar.
To manage groups of cameras the Camera groups window has been added. In this window you can change simultaneously: visibility, accessibility, hiding, visibility in 3D and color of all cameras included in a group.
Cameras included in a group may be combined. Combined cameras will be selected, copied, moved, rotated at the same time. Groups can be used to model multisensor cameras as well as positions.
In the PDF report, cameras can be divided into groups. The report may include separate fragments of large layout with groups of cameras.

The List / Range of lens focal length and the List of Resolutions allow a simple and accurate simulation of camera view area taking into account lens distortion and real size of active area of the image sensor
The lens focal length in VideoCAD 9 is specified by one current value and additionally by the List / Range string.
Depending on type of the lens, the List / Range string may contain:
the list of possible focal lengths;
the range of possible change of the focal length;
the list of possible focal lengths with values of real angles for modeling lens distortion;
the range of possible change of the focal length with the values of real angles for modeling lens distortion.
